Weekly Transformations: Arlington Heights, Rich Espresso

These homeowners wanted to update the look, simplify the design and highlight the new front entry. First we eliminated the shutters on the sided portion of the house & eliminated the band board for a cleaner look. After that we squared off the front porch fascia bringing in more light to the front porch and front door. The homeowner opted for Rich Espresso siding with Navajo Beige trim. It was a flip flop of what they originally had. To lighten up the porch further we replaced the dark porch ceiling with Navajo Beige beaded to match the trim. The color palette was reversed to better complement their new bronze clad windows. That is the beauty of James Hardie Siding, all of their colors complement each other. The homeowner wanted to switch the open louvre shutters on the brick to raised panel for cleaner lines. The porch posts have panels to better tie in with the shutters and front door.
