Our crew at Erdmann Exteriors recently assisted these Norwood Park, IL homeowners with their exterior remodeling needs. The homeowners reached out to our team looking to breathe new life into their home’s exterior, and our team was ready to assist! The homeowners were in need of a siding & roof replacement in order to keep their home protected, and our team was up to the task. Our team met with the homeowner’s to discuss our available siding & roofing options, and after a bit of deliberation, we were happy to be able to offer James Hardie & CertainTeed for their roof & siding replacements. As soon as the homeowners decided on the right materials for their home, our team got to work on the replacements!
To begin, we removed the home’s old vinyl siding. The old siding boards were beginning to fail and peel away from the home, so our team got to work on replacing the boards. We had to remove the old vinyl siding first and assess the integrity of the boards beneath the siding. After we had removed the old siding and attended to any damage on the siding, our team got to work installing the new fiber cement siding. The new, red fiber cement siding looks fantastic, and the home’s walls will be well protected for decades to come!
After we had completed the siding replacement, our team got to work on the roof replacement. Their old shingles were looking worn and beginning to fail, so the homeowners decided to replace the roof and siding at the same time. They decided on beautiful CertainTeed shingles. One of the most trusted names in the remodeling industry, homeowners and contractors have been trusting CertainTeed to keep their home’s protected for decades, and we thought it was a fantastic choice! After the siding was installed, we began stripping shingles off of the roof, and assessing the roof deck. Once we had cleaned up all of the rot damage in the roof deck, we began laying down their new shingles, from the starter shingles up to the top. The new roof looks great, and their home will be well protected for years to come!
